The international organisations seek to improve the reporting and exchange framework for labour statistics. The SDMX sponsor organisations (BIS, ECB, Eurostat, IMF, OECD, United Nations and World Bank) agreed that the DSD for labour statistics project meets the requirements of a Global DSD project. This is a public review for the Global DSD for labour statistics.

There are two main items available at the start of the review:

• The DSD Matrix workbook that describes all of the SDMX artefacts in the Global DSD for labour statistics model;
• The Guidelines document that explains the DSD Matrix workbook and other aspects of the Global DSD initiative.

The purpose of this public review is to test that the SDMX artefacts and guidelines are fit for their intended purpose by the SDMX community. Some key questions to consider by reviewers are:

1. Do you understand the described model (Concept Scheme, DSDs, Codelists, etc.) in order to implement it for your use case, such as disseminating to an international organisation or collecting data?
2. Do you see errors in the model; such as multiple ways to encode the same data, missing concepts or codes for existing indicators?
3. Do you know of significant technical barriers to implementing an exchange based on the Global DSD?
4. Are there errors in the guidelines, or could they be made clearer?

The SDMX-ML technical files, and dataflow constraints will be made available shortly after the start of the public review in non-final mode. Also, the draft model will adapt to feedback throughout the public review – the changes will be described on this page.
