The Validation and Transformation Language (VTL) is a language for expressing validation and transformation rules applicable to any kind of statistical data, including data structured as dimensional tables or unit-record data. It is based on a logical formalisation at business level of the typical statistical artefacts and on mathematical expressions for their manipulation, which can be used to define, exchange and perform processing algorithms. The new release 2.0 introduces powerful features, supports custom extensions and facilitates the reuse of the rules.
