The SDMX Roadmap 2020 is a renewed strategic guidance, communicating high-level goals and key priorities of the seven sponsoring organisations for the coming years.

The SDMX sponsors have identified four main priority areas for their "horizon 2020":

1. Strengthening the implementation of SDMX
2. Making data usage easier, especially for policy use
3. Modernising statistical processes, improving the SDMX standard and the IT infrastructure
4. Improving communication
