SDMX sponsoring organizations wish to increase and formalise the participation of the SDMX User Community (statistical offices, central banks and other national and international organisations dealing with official statistics) in the management and development of the SDMX Technical Standards and the SDMX Content oriented Guidelines. At the 39th Session of the UN Statistical Commission, attended by delegations from about 130 countries and 40 international agencies, SDMX was recognized as the preferred standard for the exchange and sharing of data and metadata. As part of efforts to stengthen well-established governance processes and to foster the sustainability of SDMX, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in March 2007 by all members of the Sponsors Committee. MORE>>
