The 3rd SDMX Global Conference took place on 2-4 May 2011 in Washington DC and was jointly hosted by the World Bank and IMF.

It was devoted to making a business case to Statistical Managers, sharing SDMX experiences in countries and for capacity building.

The Conference also focussed on the SDMX business case and on capacity building, keeping it open also to non-SDMX experts. Efforts were made to reach subject domain experts to make them aware of SDMX and ask them to promote SDMX in their organisations.
