The 6th SDMx Global Conference was held from 2 to 5 October 2017 at the ECA Conference Centre (ECACC), Menelik II Ave., in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This year’s conference was hosted jointly by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), with the theme "SDMx for the Data Revolution". Topics for this year’s event included:

• Applying SDMx to improve statistical business processes
• SDMx infrastructure and tools
• SDMx and global standardisation
